Kenneth Walker

Kenneth has a multifaceted creative career as an artist, architect, and designer. His artistic career spans five decades and has been represented by Pace, Rose Esmond and Feigen Graphics. His work was selected for Expo 70 in Japan and is in the Corcoran Gallery, Norton Museum and Private collections in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Munich and London. He is represented by Fritz Gallery, West Palm Beach and his work is exhibited at major art fairs in U.S. He is the founder of WalkerGroup, the global architecture firm that grew to be the largest retail design practice in North America. WalkerGroup/Designs was founded in 1980 to focus on Product Design. He is also the creator of 01-01-00, The Mark of the Millennium, which became internationally recognized symbol for this global celebration. He is a graduate of Brown University, where he studied Art History and Fine Arts, and Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where he earned his Masters in Architecture. Ken has taught at the Rhode Island School of Design, Harvard, MIT and the Architectural Association in London. He is also a lecturer at Columbia University Business School. Ken was elected a fellow in the American Institute of Architects, is a charter member of the Interior Design Hall of Fame, a member of the Young President’s Organization and was President of the Alumni Council, Harvard G.S.D. He served on the Architectural Design Committee of the Museum of Modern Art and the advisory Committee of the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum. Since 2011, he has served as Chairman of the Board of Advisors for the College for Creative Studies in Detroit.
